What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and manage HIV and TB programs in line with national policies.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives for the HAST unit.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Core Standards in nursing practices.
  • Foster a safe and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff.
  • Manage and resolve discipline, grievances, and labour relations issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Monitor the use of resources, including human, financial, and equipment.
  • Advocate for patient care and treatment in line with Batho Pele principles.
  • Evaluate and monitor staff performance according to EPMDS policy.

What You’ll Need

  • A Basic R425 qualification (Degree/Diploma) in General Nursing.
  • A minimum of 9 years of recognized nursing experience post-registration with SANC.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Primary Health Care after obtaining a post-basic qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and resolve conflicts.
  • Understanding of challenges in the public health sector.
  • Knowledge of nursing care processes, legal frameworks, and standards.
