What You’ll Do

  • Provide effective management and professional leadership in the Trauma & Emergency units.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, peers, and supervisors to enhance service delivery.
  • Utilize resources efficiently while adhering to healthcare regulations and best practices.
  • Promote patient advocacy and proper treatment within the unit.
  • Maintain clinical competence and ensure adherence to nursing principles and governance.
  • Manage staff training and development, including formulating training programs.
  • Coordinate health promotion activities and monitor service delivery data.
  • Support Nursing Services Management by working flexible hours, including weekends and nights.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a Basic R425 qualification in Nursing.
  • A post-basic qualification in Trauma & Emergency Nursing Science, accredited by SANC.
  • A Diploma or Degree in Nursing Administration and Management.
  • A minimum of nine years of nursing experience registered with SANC, including five years in Trauma & Emergency.
  • At least three years of management-level experience in nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, legal frameworks, and patient care protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy to support service delivery.
