What You’ll Do
- Manage clinical services and staff rostering to ensure efficient operation within the hospital.
- Plan, coordinate, and maintain high-quality nursing services in line with institutional guidelines.
- Participate in the training and development of nursing staff to foster professional growth.
- Monitor financial resources, consumables, and equipment within the clinical area.
- Provide support services to the Nursing Service Department and uphold ethical standards.
- Engage in research initiatives aimed at improving nursing practices and patient care.
What You’ll Need
- A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or an equivalent qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant nursing experience after registration with the SANC.
- A valid driver’s licence (Code B / EB) and a willingness to travel.
- Willingness to perform overtime and standby duties as needed.
- Strong knowledge of nursing legislation, ethical practices, and public sector policies.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
