What You’ll Do

  • Manage and coordinate primary health care services, ensuring an integrated approach to patient management.
  • Conduct assessments, take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
  • Oversee the implementation of Child Health and Youth Services, including school health initiatives.
  • Lead maternal and women’s health services, aligning with national health guidelines.
  • Monitor and execute integrated HAST (HIV, AIDS, STI, and TB) services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the Primary Health Care facilities and mobile health services.
  • Ensure compliance with health legislation and quality assurance standards.

What You’ll Need

  • A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, accredited with the SANC.
  • A minimum of 9 years of nursing experience post-registration, with at least 5 years in a relevant specialty after obtaining a post-basic qualification.
  • A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
  • Strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and good interpersonal communication skills.
