What You’ll Do

• Manage clinical services and staff rostering effectively to meet the needs of the hospital.
• Plan, manage, and coordinate nursing services to maintain optimal quality.
• Utilize human resources effectively for operational and developmental functions.
• Oversee and monitor financial resources, consumables, and equipment in the clinical area.
• Initiate and participate in training, development, and research initiatives within the nursing department.
• Provide support to the Nursing Service Department and the institution as a whole.
• Uphold ethical standards and promote professional growth among nursing staff.

What You’ll Need

• A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
• A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognizable experience in general nursing post-registration.
• A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
• Willingness to perform overtime, after-hours, weekends, and standby duties as required.
• Strong knowledge of nursing legislation, ethical practices, and public sector policies.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
