What You’ll Do

  • Manage and supervise the nursing team at the PHC facilities to ensure compliance with clinical practices.
  • Implement and promote quality nursing care in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
  • Advocate for patients by ensuring adherence to the Batho Pele Principles.
  • Coordinate community involvement to enhance participation in health initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage the effective use and maintenance of facility assets and infrastructure.
  • Oversee information management and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure the implementation of National Core Norms and Standards in healthcare delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic nursing qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Post-basic nursing qualification in Primary Health Care, accredited by SANC.
  • Minimum of nine years of nursing experience post-registration with SANC, including five years in Primary Health Care.
  • In-depth understanding of nursing legislation and its impact on service delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is an advantage.
