The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Manager Nursing for the Viedriet Clinic, situated in the vibrant community of Dannhauser, KZN. What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the provision of a comprehensive package of services at the PHC level, including priority programs and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop, monitor, and report on the implementation of the Clinic Operational Plan.
- Participate in clinical audits and ensure that quality improvement plans are followed diligently.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure continuity of patient care through effective handovers and communication.
- Implement Batho Pele principles, National Core Standards, and ideal clinic priorities.
- Manage resources efficiently, including human, material, and physical resources.
- Compile and submit monthly and quarterly reports on clinic performance and activities.
- Lead the integration of health services based on relevant policy imperatives to reduce the burden of disease.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of 9 years of experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
- At least 5 years of experience post a one-year qualification in Primary Health Care.
- Grade 12 and a basic R425 qualification (Degree/Diploma in nursing) that allows registration with SANC.
- Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Primary Health Care.
- Strong knowledge of nursing care processes, relevant legislation, and public service frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in report writing and data management.
- Good interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and team building.
