What You’ll Do

• Plan and manage nursing services within the High Care Unit to ensure optimal patient care.
• Coordinate the utilization of human and financial resources efficiently.
• Participate in training, development, and research initiatives within the nursing department.
• Deliver support services to enhance the overall nursing function and institutional goals.
• Uphold ethical standards and promote professional growth among nursing staff.

What You’ll Need

• A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification approved by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• A post-basic nursing qualification in Critical Care Nursing or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing (R174) with a relevant post-graduate diploma.
• Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• At least 9 years of experience in nursing, with a minimum of 5 years in a specialized area after obtaining your post-basic qualification.
• Willingness to work public holidays, weekends, and night shifts as required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team.
