What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage nursing services within the High Care Unit to ensure optimal patient care.
- Coordinate the utilization of human and financial resources efficiently.
- Participate in training, development, and research initiatives within the nursing department.
- Deliver support services to enhance the overall nursing function and institutional goals.
- Uphold ethical standards and promote professional growth among nursing staff.
What You’ll Need
- A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification approved by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Critical Care Nursing or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing (R174) with a relevant post-graduate diploma.
- Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- At least 9 years of experience in nursing, with a minimum of 5 years in a specialized area after obtaining your post-basic qualification.
- Willingness to work public holidays, weekends, and night shifts as required.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team.
