What You’ll Do

  • Provide effective management and professional leadership in Trauma and Emergency units.
  • Communicate efficiently with patients, supervisors, and healthcare teams.
  • Supervise and utilize all resources effectively while upholding clinical governance.
  • Advocate for patients, facilitating appropriate treatment and care.
  • Maintain clinical competence in nursing practices and legislation.
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures in accordance with established policies.
  • Develop training programs and participate in the development of staff and nursing students.
  • Monitor health promotion activities and evaluate service delivery data.
  • Support Nursing Services Management by working weekends and night shifts as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing) registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Trauma and Emergency Nursing Science, accredited with SANC.
  • Minimum of nine years of nursing experience post-registration, including five years in Trauma and Emergency.
  • Strong understanding of nursing care processes, nursing statutes, and public health sector strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for enhancing service delivery.
