What You’ll Do
- Manage and supervise nursing operations in alignment with Primary Health Care (PHC) supervision guidelines.
- Ensure the nursing team delivers clinical care that adheres to established standards and practices.
- Promote quality nursing care consistent with the PHC delivery package.
- Implement National Core Norms and Standards and focus on six priority areas in health care.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure compliance with Batho Pele Principles.
- Coordinate community participation and enhance local collaboration in health initiatives.
- Oversee the effective use and maintenance of facility assets and infrastructure.
- Monitor information management and maintain accurate documentation.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Basic nursing qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), enabling registration as a Professional Nurse.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Primary Health Care, lasting at least one year, accredited by SANC.
- A minimum of nine years of nursing experience post-registration, with five years in a relevant specialty.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the District Health System and nursing legislation.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is advantageous.
