What You’ll Do

• Independently plan and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Investigate incidents and complaints related to the OHS Act, taking necessary legal action as required.
• Conduct proactive inspections according to a set schedule to monitor compliance with labour legislation.
• Compile and consolidate detailed reports from inspections and investigations.
• Lead advocacy campaigns to educate the community about labour legislation and its importance.
• Contribute to the planning and drafting of regional inspection strategies.
• Analyze data and compile statistical reports on safety compliance and incidents.

What You’ll Need

• A Matric/Grade 12/Senior Certificate.
• A three-year recognized qualification at NQF 6/7 in Construction or Civil Engineering.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of departmental policies, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and related regulations.
• Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and report preparation.
• Skills in negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict handling.
