What You’ll Do

• Plan and conduct independent inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Investigate incidents and complaints related to occupational safety and health, finalising reports and recommendations.
• Conduct proactive inspections and compile reports on compliance with labour legislation.
• Lead advocacy campaigns on labour legislation, analysing their impacts and reporting findings.
• Contribute to the development of regional inspection plans and maintain statistical reports on health and safety cases.
• Appear in court as a state witness when necessary, reinforcing the enforcement of safety standards.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate along with a recognised three-year qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• A valid driver’s license to facilitate inspections and site visits.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, regulations, and related standards.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, along with effective communication abilities.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports.
• Interpersonal skills to facilitate engagement with various stakeholders.
