What You’ll Do

  • Provide secretarial support to the DDG’s office, managing calendar appointments and ensuring no scheduling conflicts.
  • Compile and distribute minutes from meetings, maintaining accurate records of discussions and decisions.
  • Support the DDG with administrative tasks, including leave administration and report consolidation.
  • Handle confidential documents with discretion, ensuring proper document management.
  • Draft and amend correspondence, submissions, and reports as required.
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for meetings and workshops, including venue confirmation and refreshments.
  • Screen calls and manage emails, responding to queries while adhering to security regulations.
  • Collaborate internally with officials to ensure queries are addressed effectively and promptly.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Office Management, Public Management, or a relevant qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • At least two years of experience in an administrative or office environment.
  • Solid knowledge of administrative procedures and public service protocols.
  • Proficiency in financial and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with Batho Pele Principles and 30-minute minute-taking techniques.
  • Strong computer literacy and effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, manage conflict, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
