What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the administration and coordination of the approved Procurement Plan.
  • Facilitate the submission of the procurement plan to National Treasury by the annual deadline.
  • Coordinate the drafting of terms of reference and specifications for procurement processes.
  • Support line functions in the initiation of approved procurement processes.
  • Manage supplier nominations from the Central Supplier Database for compliant user requests within three working days.
  • Consolidate and submit quarterly reports on the execution of the procurement plan.
  • Provide inputs for the Management Performance Assessment Tool (MPAT).
  • Conduct workshops for suppliers and chief users to enhance understanding and compliance.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Supply Chain Management or a related qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and business practices, strategic planning, and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to manage the acquisition of services and demand planning effectively.
  • Skills to develop, interpret, and apply policies, strategies, and legislation.
  • Competence in gathering and analyzing information.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem identification and solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
