What You’ll Do

• Receive and record corpses upon arrival at the mortuary
• Register corpses and manage transportation to and from hospitals
• Ensure accurate name tag identification corresponding with records
• Maintain proper storage of corpses, monitoring fridge temperatures daily
• Complete TPH Registers and conduct audits of corpses’ length of stay
• Assist in identifying and preparing corpses for viewing and post-mortem
• Prepare bodies for pauper’s burial and manage the release process for families
• Report any maintenance needs for mortuary equipment and ensure cleanliness

What You’ll Need

• ABET (Grade 1-9) qualification
• No prior working experience required
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles and Public Service Act
• Understanding of customer care and the Code of Conduct
• Familiarity with medico-legal policies and patients’ rights
