What You’ll Do
- Perform server administration and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
- Install software updates and patches to keep systems secure and up-to-date.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues for both onsite and remote access.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for server-related tasks.
- Document network server setups, configurations, and changes for future reference.
- Design, provision, install, configure, and maintain server systems.
- Work with virtualized storage technologies and implement security policies.
- Create and maintain technical and functional documentation to align with business objectives.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in network and server administration at a junior management level.
- Proven experience with server virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, IP networking, and network security.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, scripting languages, and security infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
