What You’ll Do

  • Perform server administration and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install software updates and patches to keep systems secure and up-to-date.
  • Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues for both onsite and remote access.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for server-related tasks.
  • Document network server setups, configurations, and changes for future reference.
  • Design, provision, install, configure, and maintain server systems.
  • Work with virtualized storage technologies and implement security policies.
  • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation to align with business objectives.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in network and server administration at a junior management level.
  • Proven experience with server virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, IP networking, and network security.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, scripting languages, and security infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
