A prominent employer is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team within the engineering sector. This role involves ensuring the quality standards of fabricated steel components through thorough inspections in a fabrication setting.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of fabricated steel components.
Interpret and accurately read engineering and fabrication drawings.
Inspect and release materials for welding, verifying that fit-up and preparation comply with quality standards.
Perform in-process and final inspections during the fabrication process.
Complete, verify, and sign off on inspection reports and quality documentation.
Ensure all quality records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
Identify non-conformances and report them accordingly.

Requirements

Experience in conducting inspections of fabricated steel components.
Ability to interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
Knowledge of welding preparation and fit-up quality requirements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain thorough quality records.
