What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality ENT services focusing on patient-centered care.
  • Engage in ongoing clinical governance to ensure service quality and safety.
  • Mentor and educate students, junior staff, and peers at both under- and postgraduate levels.
  • Conduct outreach efforts to improve healthcare access and service delivery in the Rural Central Ecosystem.
  • Manage financial and physical resources effectively, ensuring compliance with health policies and regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to stay current in clinical developments.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration with HPCSA.
  • For Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience post-registration.
  • For Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience post-registration.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B/E or higher) and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Proven ability to manage Otorhinolaryngology cases independently.
  • Strong competencies in quality improvement, research methodology, and team leadership.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of relevant health policies and guidelines.
