What You’ll Do

  • Deliver comprehensive senior clinical services in General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.
  • Provide management support within the Division of General Internal Medicine at Tygerberg Hospital.
  • Report on the maintenance and improvement of geriatric services within the Metro East Geographic Service Area.
  • Educate and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as junior professionals.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives that enhance service delivery and organizational growth.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate qualification for registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Geriatric Medicine.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration with HPCSA.
  • For Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Medical Specialist post-registration.
  • For Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Medical Specialist post-registration.
  • A valid (code B/EB) driver’s license is required.
  • Competencies include excellent clinical decision-making, organizational skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
