What You’ll Do
- Design and implement new mechanical engineering systems to resolve practical challenges.
- Plan, operate, and maintain mechanical engineering projects to improve safety and efficiency.
- Develop comprehensive technical manuals and specifications for mechanical projects.
- Evaluate and approve designs and plans submitted by others to ensure compliance with engineering principles.
- Supervise mechanical engineering processes and provide guidance to technicians and candidate engineers.
- Manage administration and budgeting for engineering projects, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Conduct research and development to stay updated on new technologies and engineering practices.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate and a qualification at NQF level 07 in Mechanical Engineering recognized by SAQA.
- 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in mechanical engineering.
- Compulsory valid registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
- Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
- Strong technical competencies in engineering design, project management, and legal compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
