What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan aligned with departmental strategic objectives.
- Manage and coordinate community development activities to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Oversee and monitor the activities of service providers and assess their effectiveness.
- Promote inter-sectoral collaboration to guarantee integrated and holistic community services.
- Formulate, implement, and maintain community development policies and integrated development programs.
- Manage the physical, financial, and human resources effectively to achieve strategic goals.
- Conduct complex research and analysis to inform community development strategies.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification at NQF 6 or equivalent in fields such as Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Community Development.
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in community development.
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license (excluding persons with disabilities).
- In-depth knowledge of community development theories, systems, and legislation.
- Strong management skills with the ability to influence and motivate individuals and groups.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in financial management and project management.
