What You’ll Do

• Conduct quality assurance of driver/operator systems to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Operate specialized plant and equipment for various transportation tasks
• Carry out daily roadworthy inspections on vehicles
• Ensure timely servicing of vehicles and equipment
• Analyze logistics operations to optimize efficiency
• Transport work teams and materials/equipment as required
• Collect goods from suppliers and department stores
• Maintain accurate records of daily trips, fuel, and fluid levels
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Assist with maintenance and construction work at gauging stations

What You’ll Need

• An NQF level 4 qualification
• A valid Code EC/EC1 (or equivalent) unexpired driver’s license with a valid PDP
• Certified competency/operating certificate for relevant heavy plant/machinery
• At least five years’ experience in driving heavy motor vehicles and operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge of traffic and road safety regulations
• Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles and machinery
• Familiarity with OHS requirements and government regulations
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
