What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of linen management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the laundry facilities.
  • Ensure efficient handling, sorting, and packing of soiled and clean linen.
  • Conduct linen audits to maintain stock control and inventory accuracy.
  • Train and oversee linen store assistants to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate registers and documentation as required by departmental policies.

What You’ll Need

  • General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) or Grade 9 (Std 7).
  • Comprehensive experience in a linen or laundry environment, preferably in health services.
  • Physical fitness to perform duties effectively and work on a rotation basis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to laundry operations.
  • Familiarity with the disciplinary process within a workplace environment.
