What You’ll Do

  • Demonstrate understanding of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
  • Develop, plan, and implement academic programs tailored for nursing students.
  • Design, review, and evaluate curriculum to ensure high educational standards.
  • Prepare and present engaging lessons that foster student learning.
  • Mentor and supervise students’ research projects to cultivate critical thinking.
  • Participate in policy development and adhere to college procedures.
  • Plan clinical placements and accompany students in various clinical settings.
  • Assess students’ clinical performance according to established procedures.
  • Serve on committees focused on research and policy-making.
  • Conduct nursing research to contribute to the body of knowledge in the field.
  • Monitor student attendance and maintain discipline in the classroom.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification in nursing (Diploma or Degree) allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • A Post Basic qualification in Nursing Education registered with SANC is essential.
  • At least four years of relevant nursing experience post-registration with SANC.
  • Proven ability to teach and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage educational programs effectively.
