What You’ll Do
- Provide efficient laundry services, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
- Collect linen from various depots and deliver it to relevant units
- Maintain accurate records of linen collected and returned
- Prepare and disinfect linen according to established guidelines
- Inspect, mend, and mark laundry items to keep them in good condition
- Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and ironers
- Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items for delivery
- Sort, count, and record dirty linen for processing
- Report any equipment issues to the supervisor promptly
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of laundry equipment
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent)
- Understanding of laundry operations and procedures
- Good communication skills with the ability to work shifts, including nights
- Physical strength to handle the demands of the job
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently
- Honesty and reliability in all tasks performed
