What You’ll Do

• Render comprehensive laundry services in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collect and accurately record linen from designated depots.
• Prepare and disinfect linen for washing according to established procedures.
• Operate various laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and pressers.
• Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep items in good condition.
• Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items for delivery.
• Sort, count, and record dirty linen efficiently.
• Report any machine malfunctions and ensure equipment maintenance.
• Support supervisors with various laundry responsibilities as directed.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• No prior experience required, but an understanding of laundry operations is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including night shifts.
• Physical strength to handle the demands of the position.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• A reliable and honest approach to work, demonstrating integrity at all times.
