What You’ll Do
- Provide essential laundry services, ensuring that linens are clean and ready for use.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collect and return linen to and from various hospital units.
- Operate laundry machines including washers, dryers, and irons effectively.
- Inspect and maintain the condition of linens, mending and marking as necessary.
- Sort, count, and record dirty and clean linen accurately.
- Report any machine faults and assist in maintaining laundry equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors.
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of laundry operations and procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including nights.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
- A reliable and honest approach to work, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
