What You’ll Do

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Collect and accurately record linen from designated depots.
• Prepare and disinfect linen for washing and ensure proper handling of washed items.
• Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep it in optimal condition.
• Operate various laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and ironing equipment.
• Iron, fold, and pack laundered items, sealing linen bags for delivery.
• Sort, count, and record dirty linen, ensuring efficient processing.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to your supervisor and maintain laundry machines.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• Understanding of laundry operations and procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including nights.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
• Willingness to work as part of a team or independently.
• Honesty and reliability in all tasks performed.
