What You’ll Do

• Render laundry services in accordance with health and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Collect and keep accurate records of linen from various depots
• Prepare and disinfect linen for washing, following established procedures
• Keep linen in good condition through inspection, mending, and marking
• Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and irons
• Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items, sealing linen bags as required
• Sort, count, and record dirty linen accurately
• Collect and deliver linen to clients efficiently
• Report any machine defaults to the supervisor
• Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, including temperature checks and reporting defects

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent)
• Understanding of a laundry setup and operations
• Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including nights
• Physical strength to manage the demands of the position
• Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
• Honesty and reliability are essential attributes
