What You’ll Do

• Render laundry services while adhering to health and safety standards
• Collect and return linen from designated areas within the hospital
• Maintain accurate records of linen collected and delivered
• Prepare and disinfect linen according to established guidelines
• Operate various laundry machines, including washers and dryers
• Inspect, mend, and mark laundry items to keep them in good condition
• Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items efficiently
• Sort and record dirty linen accurately
• Report any machine faults and maintain laundry equipment
• Follow all laundry responsibilities as directed by the supervisor

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (or equivalent ABET Level 2 certificate)
• Understanding of laundry operations and equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including night shifts
• Physical strength to handle the demands of the position
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
• Honesty and reliability in all tasks
