What You’ll Do

  • Render laundry services in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Collect linen from designated depots and maintain accurate records of items collected and returned.
  • Prepare and disinfect linen for washing, following established procedures.
  • Operate various laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and presses.
  • Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items, ensuring they are sealed correctly.
  • Deliver linen to clients and sort, count, and record dirty linen efficiently.
  • Maintain laundry equipment, monitor temperatures, and report any defects.
  • Perform all laundry responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
  • Understanding of a laundry setup and processes.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work various shifts, including nights.
  • Physical strength to meet the demands of the position.
  • Capability to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Honest and reliable character with a strong work ethic.
