What You’ll Do

• Render laundry services while adhering to health and safety standards
• Collect and return linen from relevant depots, maintaining accurate records
• Prepare and disinfect linen for washing, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene
• Inspect, mend, and mark laundry items to keep them in good condition
• Operate various laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and irons
• Pack laundered items and seal linen bags for delivery
• Sort, count, and record dirty linen, following procedural guidelines
• Report any equipment issues to the supervisor and maintain laundry machines

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (equivalent to an ABET Level 2 certificate)
• Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including nights
• Physical strength to handle the demands of the job
• Reliability and honesty, with a willingness to work as part of a team or independently
