What You’ll Do
- Render laundry services while adhering to health and safety standards
- Collect and return linen from relevant depots, maintaining accurate records
- Prepare and disinfect linen for washing, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene
- Inspect, mend, and mark laundry items to keep them in good condition
- Operate various laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and irons
- Pack laundered items and seal linen bags for delivery
- Sort, count, and record dirty linen, following procedural guidelines
- Report any equipment issues to the supervisor and maintain laundry machines
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 1 or 2 (equivalent to an ABET Level 2 certificate)
- Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including nights
- Physical strength to handle the demands of the job
- Reliability and honesty, with a willingness to work as part of a team or independently
