What You’ll Do

  • Render laundry services while maintaining hygiene standards in the workplace.
  • Collect and return linen from relevant depots and units, ensuring accurate records are kept.
  • Prepare and disinfect laundry following established guidelines.
  • Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep it in good condition.
  • Operate various laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and pressing equipment.
  • Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items neatly.
  • Sort and record dirty linen; deliver laundry to clients as required.
  • Monitor and report any defects in laundry equipment to the supervisor.
  • Assist with maintenance and upkeep of laundry machines and equipment.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent) with no prior experience required.
  • Understanding of laundry operations and procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including night shifts.
  • Physical strength to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving items.
  • Team player mentality and the ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Honesty and reliability in performing assigned duties.
