What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement, and review supply chain management policies and strategies.
- Maintain and improve demand acquisition systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and departmental prescripts and the code of conduct.
- Conduct needs analysis, expenditure reviews, and market assessments to inform procurement planning.
- Source goods and services through fair and transparent processes.
- Manage the tender process, including the compilation and evaluation of bid specifications.
- Oversee the supplier database and ensure quality assurance on supplier information.
- Provide strategic leadership and manage the performance of team members.
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management or Financial Management.
- 3-5 years of experience at the Assistant Director level in Supply Chain Management.
- Strong knowledge of public finance legislation, procurement regulations, and supply chain management frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with BAS, SAP, and SRM systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and analyze financial information effectively.
- Experience in contract management and understanding of relevant legislation.
