What You’ll Do

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Collect and deliver linen from various depots to designated units
• Keep accurate records of the linen collected and returned
• Prepare and disinfect linen for washing following established procedures
• Operate laundry machines, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment
• Inspect, mend, and mark linen to keep it in good condition
• Sort, count, and record dirty linen for processing
• Iron, fold, pack, and seal laundered items for delivery
• Report any machine faults to the supervisor
• Assist in maintaining laundry equipment and monitoring temperatures

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent)
• Understanding of laundry operations and procedures
• Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including night shifts
• Physical strength and endurance to meet the demands of the role
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Honesty and reliability
