Kouga Municipality is offering exciting internship opportunities for South African unemployed youth and graduates in the Finance and Electro-Mechanical Departments. These internships are designed to provide practical experience and skill development in municipal operations.

Key Responsibilities

*Finance Internship Programme (3 years)*
– Engage in public sector procurement and municipal finance management.
– Develop negotiation, planning, and performance monitoring skills.
– Gain exposure to advanced report writing and analytical tasks.

*Electro-Mechanical Internship (18 months)*
– Participate in experiential learning in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
– Complete practical assignments in a dynamic municipal environment.

Requirements/Qualifications

*Finance Internship*
– NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification in finance-related fields such as Accounting, Economics, or Auditing.
– Ages 18-35, with strong communication and computer skills.
– Proficiency in Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa.

*Electro-Mechanical Internship*
– Computer literacy and good communication skills.
– Ages 18-35, with proficiency in Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa.

Benefits

– Finance interns receive a salary of R120,000 per annum.
– Electro-Mechanical interns receive a stipend of R4,000 per month.

Internship Agreement
