What You’ll Do
- Provide Local Area Network and Desktop support services, ensuring efficient operations
- Create and manage user accounts on desktops and laptops, including email and Windows access
- Troubleshoot and resolve various technical issues reported by users
- Set up hardware such as desktops, printers, and data projectors to facilitate staff functions
- Assist with data migration during computer setups and provide telephonic support as needed
- Support Level 8 and Level 9/10 issues based on documented solutions in ITIL
- Serve as the first level of contact for IT helpdesk services, conveying resolutions to customer issues
- Perform additional tasks as directed by your Supervisor to ensure departmental goals are met
What You’ll Need
- A recognized National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
- 1 to 2 years of work experience in the IT field as an IT Technician
- Industry-recognized certifications such as MCSE/MCITP, A+, N+, Security+, ITIL are advantageous
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on customer relationship management
- Knowledge of Network Administration and IT Service Management principles
- Sound understanding of COBIT 5 Foundation and ITIL frameworks
