What You’ll Do

• Maintain and manage accreditation status for trade testing and ARPL in the electrical field.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support trade testing initiatives.
• Oversee the provision of credible ARPL and trade testing services.
• Implement and uphold internal quality assurance protocols.
• Monitor and conduct internal and external moderation processes.
• Manage financial resources, budgeting, and procurement of testing resources.
• Ensure workshop areas are safe and conducive to quality trade testing services.
• Identify and manage risks within the unit effectively.
• Supervise and develop staff within the unit to enhance their skills and performance.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Electrical Engineering or a related qualification.
• A recognized South African Trade Qualification in an electrical-related trade (e.g., Electrician, Millwright).
• Assessor and Moderator Certificates, with registration with the National Artisan Moderation Body being an advantage.
• A minimum of three to five years of industry-related experience after qualifying as an artisan, including three years of management experience in Artisan Development.
• Knowledge of assessment and quality assurance methods, artisan training policies, the Skills Development Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Strong planning, organization, and management skills, alongside proficiency in MS Office applications.
