What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the implementation of Occupational Qualifications in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the participation of SETAs, State-Owned Companies, and government departments in providing workplace-based learning opportunities.
  • Support the phased-out implementation of NATED N1–N3 Engineering programs in partnership with the TVET Branch and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of the Pre-Vocational Learning Program for engineering programs.
  • Provide operational support and coordination to the Occupational Qualifications Delivery Sub-Directorate.
  • Engage in monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure the effectiveness of programs.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration, Management, or Engineering-related qualifications.
  • An artisan trade qualification and experience as an artisan assessor, trainer, or moderator will be advantageous.
  • A minimum of three to five years’ relevant experience in skills development, TVET, or occupational qualifications, with at least three years at a junior management level or Assistant Director.
  • Sound knowledge of the Post-School Education and Training system, including Occupational Qualifications and workplace-based learning.
  • Familiarity with legislative frameworks such as the Skills Development Act and the White Paper for Post-School Education and Training.
  • Strong coordination, stakeholder management, report writing, and project management skills.
  • Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are essential.
