What You’ll Do

• Conduct assessments in the rigging trade and implement the Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) process.
• Moderation of trade tests both internally and externally to ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform audits of external trade test centers to maintain quality assurance.
• Supervise trade assistants and assess their performance to ensure effective training and development.
• Manage procurement and control of assessment stock for the workshop.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of assessments and audits for future reference and compliance.

What You’ll Need

• A National Technical Certificate N3 or an equivalent qualification in rigging.
• At least three to five years of supervisory and technical training experience after qualifying as an artisan.
• A Trade Test Certificate in Rigging, along with moderator and assessor experience.
• Additional trade qualifications in the mechanical engineering field and a Moderator Certificate are advantageous.
• Familiarity with the Skills Development Act, 1998, and Trade Test Regulations.
• Proficient in computer literacy, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong report writing, planning, organising, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and supervisory skills to manage staff effectively.
