What You’ll Do
- Assist in the implementation of projects focused on identifying and managing heritage resources.
- Support initiatives aimed at promoting cultural heritage tourism in the district.
- Help organize and host national days and significant heritage events.
- Aid in auditing cultural and historically significant heritage sites and objects within the province.
- Contribute to the identification and development of intangible cultural heritage and indigenous knowledge systems.
- Coordinate efforts to strengthen relationships with local authorities and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the office.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 and a National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 06) in Tourism Management, History, or Social Science.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Must be a South African citizen with no criminal record.
- Applicants must be unemployed and have never participated in an internship programme previously.
