What You’ll Do

  • Assist in developing concept documents that outline key project ideas.
  • Organize meetings, including taking minutes to ensure accurate records.
  • Support the development of budgets and the implementation of operational plans.
  • Monitor arts and culture-funded projects to ensure they meet objectives.
  • Maintain and update a district database for stakeholders involved in arts and culture.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Compile project reports to track progress and outcomes.
  • Implement and assist with various arts and culture projects and events.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team.
  • Assist with outreach programs to engage the community in cultural activities.
  • Support procurement processes related to the section’s needs.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate/Matric Certificate/Grade 12.
  • A three-year degree or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Arts and Culture Studies, Arts Management, History, Fine Arts, or Performing Arts.
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Social Science majoring in Music, Dance & Drama, Visual Arts, Film, or Fashion Designing is preferred.
  • South African citizenship is required.
  • No previous internship experience is necessary, and applicants must be currently unemployed.
  • A clean criminal record is essential for this role.
