What You’ll Do

• Assist in the development of concept documents for cultural initiatives
• Support the budgeting and implementation of operational plans
• Help plan and coordinate arts and cultural events, exhibitions, and festivals
• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, drafting correspondence, and maintaining databases
• Organize meetings and take minutes to ensure effective communication
• Engage with artists, performers, and community partners as needed

What You’ll Need

• National Senior Certificate/Matric Certificate/Grade 12 and a three-year degree or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Arts and Culture Studies, Arts Management, Fine Arts, or Performing Arts
• A Bachelor of Arts or Social Science majoring in relevant fields such as Music, Dance & Drama, Visual Arts, or Film
• Previous experience in arts administration or event planning is advantageous
• Strong interest in arts, culture, and community engagement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Creativity and a willingness to contribute ideas
• Must be a South African citizen and have no criminal record
• Applicants must be unemployed and have never participated in an internship programme previously
