What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with labour legislation.
- Investigate reported cases of labour law contraventions and enforce actions as necessary.
- Perform proactive Blitz inspections regularly to monitor workplace compliance.
- Develop and implement advocacy campaigns related to allocated labour legislation.
- Assist in drafting inspection plans, compiling reports, and maintaining statistics on cases.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant qualification in Labour Relations, BCom Law, or LLB (minimum of three years).
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with department policies and procedures, including the Skills Development Act and Labour Relations Act.
- Strong skills in facilitation, planning, organization, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in computing, particularly with spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and word processing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
