What You’ll Do

  • List and monitor all applications for various appointment types, including contract and permanent positions.
  • Write submissions for the approval of contract and acting posts.
  • Create, amend, and abolish posts on the PERSAL system according to the approved establishment.
  • Reserve posts for appointments and manage advertising requests effectively.
  • Provide continuous training for PERSAL staff within the department.
  • Administer the annual establishment adjustments and manage excess staff profiles.
  • Compile and provide statistical data and PERSAL information to various managers and stakeholders.
  • Receive and process Exception Reports regarding establishment issues.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent, along with a relevant post-school Diploma.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in HR or recruitment.
  • A valid driver’s license (excluding A/A1).
  • Thorough knowledge of establishment functions on the PERSAL system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong skills in diplomacy, networking, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
  • Language proficiency in at least 2 of the 3 official Western Cape languages.
