What You’ll Do

  • Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep as necessary.
  • Maintain kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
  • Manage stock levels of cleaning materials and report any shortages.
  • Safeguard and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring they are safe and in working order.
  • Implement basic security measures, including locking doors and closing windows.
  • Monitor and report any hazards related to fire and electricity in the facilities.
  • Conduct simple maintenance repairs that do not require professional assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and hygiene regulations.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical strength to cope with the demands of the position.
  • A reliable and honest work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
