What You’ll Do

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas within Umlamli Hospital
  • Remove garbage and ensure proper waste disposal
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, bathrooms, and common areas
  • Perform various cleaning tasks, including washing, dusting, vacuuming, and sweeping
  • Manage stock levels of cleaning materials and kitchen utensils
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment is safe, clean, and in good working condition
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or shortages promptly
  • Prepare the boardroom for meetings, including arranging chairs and providing necessary utensils
  • Implement basic security measures, such as locking doors and closing windows
  • Monitor and report potential hazards in the building
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and hygiene regulations

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to rotate between different tasks as needed
  • Honesty and reliability in performing duties
  • Physical strength to handle the demands of the role
