What You’ll Do

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas of Sterksroom Hospital.
• Remove garbage and ensure proper disposal practices are followed.
• Clean restrooms, bathrooms, and other essential facilities, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping.
• Maintain kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring they are clean and hygienic.
• Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning materials and utensils.
• Safeguard cleaning equipment by keeping it safe and in working condition.
• Report any maintenance needs for cleaning equipment and ensure timely repairs.
• Assist in setting up the boardroom by arranging chairs and providing water and glasses.
• Implement security measures and monitor potential hazards in the hospital.
• Conduct simple maintenance repairs in collaboration with service officers when required.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control measures diligently.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physical strength to handle the demands of the position.
• Reliability and honesty in performing job duties.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
