What You’ll Do
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas of Sterksroom Hospital.
- Remove garbage and ensure proper disposal practices are followed.
- Clean restrooms, bathrooms, and other essential facilities, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping.
- Maintain kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring they are clean and hygienic.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning materials and utensils.
- Safeguard cleaning equipment by keeping it safe and in working condition.
- Report any maintenance needs for cleaning equipment and ensure timely repairs.
- Assist in setting up the boardroom by arranging chairs and providing water and glasses.
- Implement security measures and monitor potential hazards in the hospital.
- Conduct simple maintenance repairs in collaboration with service officers when required.
- Follow universal precautions and infection control measures diligently.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
- Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical strength to handle the demands of the position.
- Reliability and honesty in performing job duties.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
