What You’ll Do

  • Manage waste disposal effectively, ensuring all garbage is removed regularly.
  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment, maintaining hygiene standards in food preparation areas.
  • Safeguard and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Report any faulty or damaged cleaning equipment to the appropriate personnel.
  • Implement basic security measures, such as locking doors and monitoring hazards.
  • Assist in simple maintenance tasks within the building, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular assessments of hygiene conditions and report any issues that need addressing.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical strength to manage the demands of the position.
