What You’ll Do

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas of the hospital
  • Handle garbage disposal and ensure hygiene in restrooms and common areas
  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring they are sanitized
  • Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages
  • Safeguard cleaning equipment by storing it properly and reporting any maintenance needs
  • Implement basic security measures, including locking doors and closing windows
  • Monitor and report any hazards related to fire and electricity
  • Conduct simple maintenance tasks that do not require professional help
  • Adhere to infection control and hygiene regulations

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
